As much as we love food here at Southern Roots Kitchen, we also love coffee and tea. Today we are going to look at a company called TEAVANA and their Cocoa Praline Tart Rooibos Tea. I received this tea as a gift from my cousin Tiara, I was hooked just off the name alone. Something about combining tea and chocolate has me very excited.

I opened the bag and allowed my nose to explore the aroma of the loose leaf tea…it smelled so good! I think that’s why I waited so long to drink it (it was a Christmas gift) lol. I’m addicted to loose leaf teas and choose how I drink them very carefully. I used 1.5 tsp for every 8oz of water and my tea steep for 5-6 minutes.

Think vanilla, Madagascar vanilla at that, figs, chocolate chips and candied macadamian nuts fused together in a mug, now that’s dessert. That’s what this tea tastes like. Smooth flavor, with scented chocolate, you can taste the nuts as well. Such a great combination of flavors. Roobios (red) tea are naturally caffeine free so this makes a wonderful compliment to your evening desserts.

There is so much more that I want to say about this tea and others from TEAVANA but don’t worry I will incorporate more teas into the blog.
