Happy Tuesday Everyone!! For some reason I’m craving tacos today, well not just me but Pumpkin too. I figured I would share this recipe with you today. Do you enjoy tacos? What are some of your favorite toppings?
In between Christmas breakfast and dinner we have this snack session going on at my grandparents house. We are a family that eats while cooking, we can’t help it, it’s hereditary. Taco salad is one of those quick items we throw together to munch on. The meat we choose is always different and really depends what’s left from breakfast. Sometimes it’s ground pork, shredded pork, chicken, fish, whatever. Today I’ll share our ground pork selection.
6 cups torn romaine lettuce
1/2 cup Thick ‘N Chunky Salsa
1/2 cup Shredded cheese
1/2 cup Sour Cream
1lb ground pork
1 packet taco seasoning
Brown the ground pork, and drain. On medium heat add in taco seasoning (follow directions on packet). Once it simmers, remove from heat.
Arrange Doritos on plate. Place lettuce on top.
Sprinkle on pork.
Then add cheese and salsa.
Add sour cream and serve.
Sometimes I switch up my ingredients:
- Pork (chorizo, works well too)
- Fish (sway or cod)
- corn salsa
- cole slaw
- monterrey jack cheese
- mango salsa
- sour cream
My ingredients for tacos depends on how I’m feeling or what I have a taste for. Add some family and friends and make tonight a Taco Night!!
