All you need is 12oz of a carbonated beverage (it doesn’t have to be beer) and the beer bread mix. The mix will be lumpy, so don’t worry. This bread is great fresh out the oven. 4.7oz box for $5.25
Need dinner in a rush, then this meatloaf is the way to go. We used turkey instead of ground beef, added soy sauce, a slightly beaten egg, milk and some chili sauce ( you can use ketchup). We mixed everything together using our hands (this is messy but fun, hint: use your kids), made mini meat loaves and put them in a muffin pan and let them cook for 40 – 50 minutes at 350 degrees. Dinner is done!! The moist meatloaf was so good, you could taste the onions, garlic, black pepper and spices that they added into the mix. This mix is pretty healthy because there are oats in it, Yes we said OATS!! So you get to enjoy your meatloaf and not feel guilty about eating it either.
We hope you have enjoyed this months great food from Wildtree. We thank Tiara for allowing us to showcase these wonderful items. Don’t forget to check out her site to purchase your food. Taste Test Tuesday: Wildtree Roasted Garlic Grapeseed Oil

Good day everyone! Happy Tuesday to you all. We missed you last week so this week’s Taste Test Tuesday is a little long but it has some great information for you. All month long we have been featuring products from Wildtree. Thanks to our consultant, Tiara Rosemond we have been to taste some really great and healthy products. This week’s product is their Roasted Garlic Grapeseed Oil.

Roasted Garlic Grapeseed Oil

This will become a staple in our pantry. We opened the bottle and inhaled the scent and was glad we could smell the garlic. We decided to saute some chicken in the grapeseed oil and we loved it. After seasoning the chicken with some Herb and Garlic spices we coated it in the Roasted Garlic Grapeseed Oil to seal in the flavor. It was delicious. The grapeseed oil really locks in the flavor, the chicken was moist and juicy. This comes in a 12oz for $13.00. Roasted Garlic isn’t the only flavor either. Grapeseed oil is one of their top sellers.

Benefits of Grapeseed Oil

  • There are NO preservatives such as TBHQ or BHT.
  • It is NOT hydrogenated.
  • There is NO sodium.
  • NO trans fatty acids.
  • NO cholesterol (it actually aids in cholesterol reduction).
  • It has one of the lowest levels of saturated fats of all oils.
  • It is easily digestible.
  • A good source of Vitamin E Alpha (an important anti-oxidant)(4.3 mg per serving).
  • Highest concentration of poly (76%) unsaturated acid of any oil.
  • Helps the body produce High Density Lipoprotein (HDL).
  • High in Linoleic acid – and its health benefits:
    • is a fatty acid which acts as a transporter for saturated fats – helps prevent accumulation in the arteries.
    • also known as Omega-6 and in near identical proportions to mother’s milk.
    • vital to life and cannot be produced by the body alone.
  • Use it to fry foods, it’s much healthier than vegetable oil.
P. S. To my natural hair family, grapeseed oil works wonders on your hair!!
We decided to chat with Tiara and find out a little more about Wildtree and she is graciously giving all of our readers a special.

SRK: When did you become a consultant for Wildtree and how long have you been working for them?

Tiara:
I first joined Wildtree as a way to supplement my income because I was looking at having my hours cut at work. I tried to find something that I could work around my crazy work schedule, which is when I stumbled upon Wildtree. I am a nutrition education researcher and health educator, so when I began to look at the various food products out there, I wanted to make sure that I could confidently sell them without violating the advice I tell others. That’s why I love Wildtree and it’s products, they are all natural and give the consumer the power to make very healthy meals. I must admit, at first I was skeptical when I began, but the products definitely speak for themselves and now I’m a believer! This July marks one year with the company, and I am enjoying every bit of it!

SRK: Are there any customer promotions this month, if so what are they?

Tiara: This month there are a bunch of specials going on! The first one is: For every $50 spent, customers have the option to get 50% off one of our summer bundles. If you spend $100 then you can get 50% off of 2 of the bundles, and so on. The 3 bundles are: “Salads with Meat” Meal Planning Bundle (reg. price $88.50), Seafood Bundle (reg. price $86.50), and the Berry Good Treats Bundle (reg. price $41.50). For more info on the bundles, please see http://wp.me/p2wUj4-1m .

The next promotion is for those who host a tasting party. If your tasting party brings in $500 in sales, you will receive $200 in FREE products, 2 items at half price, and a FREE 64oz jug of Wildtree’s Natural Grapeseed Oil (a $50 value)! I always tell people that if they peruse the catalog and see that their wish list is getting larger and larger, host a party – it’s the best way to get free groceries!

The final promotion is one that I am offering just for your blog readers… in addition to the customer promotion above, if your readers spend $50, I will give them a free sample of grapeseed oil (either natural, roasted garlic, or zesty lemon). If they spend at least $100, I will give them a free full-size bottle of grapeseed oil (up to a $13 value!). In order to redeem this promotion, they just need to e-mail me at   tnrose [at] gmail [dot] com before purchasing their products!

There you go, be sure to check out Tiara’s website and support her business. As always, we appreciate each of you for all of your support. Feel free to comment on the blog, stop by our Facebook page or send us a tweet on Twitter.

Taste Test Tuesday: Wildtree Wicked Good Slow Cooker Sauce

Hello Everyone, thanks for stopping by the kitchen today. All month long we are featuring products for Wildtree, a gourmet food direct sales company. Thanks to one of their consultants Tiara Rosemond we are able to sample some great food. This week’s post is about their Wicked Good Slow Cooker Sauce. Grab a plate and napkin so we can eat.

Wildtree Wicked Good Slow Cooker Sauce

This product actually had me thinking about some ideas and future blog posts. I probably should have waited to talk about this in the winter but it’s okay, I can always talk about it again…lol. We had heard about this sauce before and decided to see how versatile we could get; let’s just say we needed about 4 more bottles for some other experiments.

A sweet and tangy flavored sauce that goes well as a dipping sauce for chicken nuggets or tenders. We cooked some meatballs in this sauce and it was delicious. Almost like a sweet and sour sauce with a little kick to it. The combination of apple cider vinegar, mustard, chili powder, and turmeric gives off a party in your mouth.

You could also throw some chicken drummettes and wingettes in the slow cooker for a meal ad cook some rice and mixed vegetables. Works great with spare ribs as well.

Need to spice up a can of baked beans? Add the Wicked Good Slow Cooker Sauce and some brown sugar to the pot and let it cook.

Don’t want to wait hours for the slow cooker? Try using the sauce in your stir-fry.

This sauce comes in a 12oz. bottle for $8.00

Hope you enjoyed these ideas and we look forward to bringing you more through out the month. Be sure to stop by Tiara’s website and check out some of the other products Wildtree has to offer.

Thank you for stopping by the kitchen today, as always we appreciate your feedback, feel free to stop our Facebook page or follow us on Twitter @S_RootsKitchen.

This is a great idea if you are looking to expand your palate with your spaghetti sauce, have certain dietary restrictions, or just want a healthier choice in your food selection. You can also add your own onions, mushrooms, peppers, veggies and meat to it for a quick meal.

Made with basil, oregano, garlic, parsley, corn oil, carrots, celery and red wine. This sauce blend is great for making meatloaf, mixing with olive oil as a dip for crusty french bread, lasagna, stuffed shells and more.

The sauce blend comes in a 2oz. jar for $8.00, and also in a 16oz. jar for $16.00.
