Welcome to Southern Roots Kitchen. I’m glad to have you. If this is your first time visiting the site. I’ll give you a quick tour. My name is Kimberlee and I am a food and kitchen blogger. I have been blogging since October 2009. I started out just sharing family recipes but then decided to expand a little and add some product reviews, kitchen tips and decor..pretty much the things I have learned over the years.
Taste Test Tuesdays
Have you noticed a product in the store that you would like to taste test but aren’t sure if you would like it? That’s where we come in. WE do all the taste testing for you. Some products we find on our own, some are sent to us and others we are asked to review via sponsored posts.

Kitchen Tip Thursdays
Over the years we have learned a lot about cooking, baking, tips and tricks of being in the kitchen. It’s only right that this information be passed along to other people. Sharing is caring and it makes cooking so much more fun.

Food, Family and Fun
Food, family and fun are three words we use to describe this blog. The fun times that take place while cooking with my family, whether it be my immediate or extended family. Many lessons have been learned while being in the kitchen, for some reason it’s easier to talk things out when food is involved. These posts will be about the excursions we took and continue to take as family, how using a recipe for one dish turned into another or just learning how to make something that doesn’t have a written recipe.
As always thank so much for stopping by. Be sure to subscribe to our weekly newsletter.

There’s a local bakery called G’s over in College Park that is really tasty with cupcakes but then my friend Tesha turned me on to a place near Greenbrier mall that does them better. Do you do local taste comparisons?
